New Rentals

  1. Do you offer moving? You can utilize our moving services depending on the unit size you rent and availability.
  2. Do you have a loading dock? All Treasure Island Storage facilities have several loading docks to make move your possessions to the unit as easy as possible.
  3. Do you have elevators? To accommodate the volume of traffic at our facilities we have several elevators for use.
  4. Can I make a payment online? We accept payments online, via phone, or you can set-up automatic payments for greater convenience.
  5. What sized units do you have? We have a variety of sizes from closet units to large commercial spaces.
  6. What is the minimum required time to store? At minimum, we offer month-to- month leasing without any contracts or other obligations.
  7. Will I be the only one with access to my unit? When you rent a unit with us, you get a unique access code. You will be the only one to have access to your unit, along with anyone else you decide to share it with.
  8. Do you have a contract? No, we do not utilize contracts, only leases.
  9. Do I need a lock? A standard lock is necessary to keep your items safe. You can bring your own lock, or purchase one from us onsite.
  10. Can I downgrade my unit? Absolutely, your needs change, so you can downgrade (or upgrade) to suit your situation.
  11. What happens with my unit goes up for auction? Auction proceedings begin when there is 3 months of non-payment. Numerous communications would be sent to notify of the date and to collect payment.
  12. When is payment due? Payment is always due on the 1st of the month with a 5-day grace period before late fees are applied.
  13. Do you offer packing supplies? The Treasure Island Storage office carry a wide array of packing supplies.
  14. Do you accept packages? Yes, we do accept packages on your behalf from USPS, UPS, DHL, Fedex and are held in the main office for a couple of days for you to pick them up.
  15. Do you offer vehicle storage? At this time, we are at capacity for the small vehicle (e.g. motorbikes) storage units.
  16. If I vacate the unit mid-month will I receive a refund? We provide all our guests a 5-day grace period from bill due date to vacate the unit, within this period we charge a prorated fee. A full month will be due after the 5-day grace period.
  17. Is the Store Safe protection mandatory? Under the N.Y & N.J State Lien Law it is mandatory to have your own insurance or protection on the items you are storing. Our Store Safe plan is a protection plan that has you covered if you do not have your own protection and it keeps you in compliance with the storage lease.
  18. What kind of insurance or protections do I need to cover my items in storage? Usually, homeowners or apartments insurance can cover your items in storage. You will have to ask your insurance provider if any extra charge is required to have coverage outside of your home. Our Store Safe Protection Plan is the simplest and most cost-effective option to have your items covered.
  19. Does Treasure Island Storage accept HRA or public assistance checks? Yes, we do. Our friendly staff can provide a rental breakdown for costs to move in for our customers to provide to a public assistance agent. Monthly checks can be sent directly to your storage location for bill payments.
  20. What do I need to use the Storage Van? To use our Storage Van all you, or the family or friend driving for you, need is a valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance, $15 for the vehicle insurance, and $100 for the security deposit that will refunded on the van’s arrival.

  6. Can I visit my property after hours? We have extended and 24-hour outdoor units. All other indoor units are accessed during store hours. Please call your storage location directly for exact hours of access.
